Hybrid

Race-ready fitness where running and strength meet.

Hybrid training prepares you for events where you need an engine to keep moving and enough strength to handle the work in front of you: HYROX, Spartan Races, OCR, fitness racing, and any challenge that blends endurance with functional tasks.

What hybrid training is.

A hybrid race asks you to do more than run. You might run, then push a sled. Run again, then carry weight. Run again, then climb, crawl, lunge, row, ski, throw, pull, or finish a high-rep station under fatigue.

That is why Hybrid at CFA trains both sides: the aerobic engine that keeps you moving and the strength endurance that lets you complete the stations or conquer the obstacles.

The sessions are hard, but they are purposeful. We train pacing, transitions, compromised running, breathing under fatigue, movement efficiency, and the confidence to keep working when the race starts to bite.

Who it is for.

  • HYROX athletes preparing for their first race or chasing a better time.
  • Spartan and OCR athletes who need running, grip, carries, obstacles, and resilience.
  • CrossFitters who want a stronger engine and better pacing.
  • Runners who want strength, durability, and more complete race preparation.
  • Members who like hard work with a clear purpose and a finish line to train toward.

What you will train.

  • Running under fatigue and learning when to push, settle, or recover.
  • Sled pushes and pulls, carries, lunges, wall balls, rowing, skiing, and burpees.
  • Grip, trunk strength, leg durability, and repeatable work capacity.
  • Race pacing, station strategy, transitions, and mental composure.

If you are new to races.

You do not need to be a racer before joining. Hybrid can be a great way to build a stronger engine, learn functional movements, and discover whether an event goal excites you.

We can scale the work so you build steadily instead of being thrown into race-level volume too soon.

How it fits CFA.

Hybrid gives your training a target without losing our bigger purpose: fitness for life. Preparing for a race can make consistency easier because the work has a date, a reason, and a story.

We train the engine, but we also train discipline, resilience, and the ability to do hard things with other people.

Build your edge.

Come for the race prep. Stay for the fitness that makes life outside the gym feel easier.
